Roger Waters Us+Them Tour Las Vegas

A Motorcycle Ride Across the Southern United States

Landing in Las Vegas

On June 15, 2017, my wife Chantal and I, accompanied by my cousin Ronnie, took off on a plane from Beirut (Middle East) to Las Vegas, Nevada with one goal in mind – to ride across the southern United States from Las Vegas to Miami, Florida.  It was to be an epic journey from desert to subtropical beach aboard two classic all-American Harley-Davidson “hogs”.

Before our journey began, we took some time to enjoy what Las Vegas had to offer.

The Angry Roger Waters

The highlight of our stay in “Sin City” was attending the one and only, angry Roger Waters performing the “Us + Them Tour” at the T-Mobile Arena which took place on June 16, 2017. I thought seeing Roger Waters perform live on stage for the second time in my life might be less exciting than the debut; undoubtedly I was wrong! At 74 years old, this guy still has what it takes to rock a crowd of 12,000 fans. The combination of mind-blowing solos and heartfelt lyrics culminated in an astonishing synchronized laser show reviving the iconic prism of the “Dark Side of the Moon”. We were lost for words to express what we experienced that epic night.

After two nights in Las Vegas, a shuttle picked us up from the New York-New York Hotel and Casino. Within 15 minutes we reached the Eagle Riders showroom in Las Vegas where the Eagle Riders team introduced us to our rides. The long-anticipated moment had finally arrived! Here they were all dressed in shiny black and embellished with chrome that shone like diamonds. The friendly and professional team at Eagle Riders welcomed us and assisted us in choosing a few riding accessories which included a helmet, cooling vest, branded T-shirt, sunglasses, key fob and wind-proof buff. In less than an hour we were all loaded and ready to start the journey of a lifetime.
